Cabernet Sauvignon

This month's winesip is the noble Cabernet Sauvignon known to be a powerhouse of a wine.  Some tasting notes to contemplate:

Tasting aromas-ripe black cherry, spicy plum, vanilla bean, toasty oak

Flavors-chocolate, blackberry, cocoa, spice

Textures-supple tannins, round, long vanilla or velvety finish.

Pairings-Cabernet works exceptionally well with lamb, duck and wild game and is perfect for Bleu and Reggiano cheeses.  Also this is a wine that drinks very fine on its own.

Women and Wine

Enophiles describe wine with gender distinctions such as either "feminine" or "masculine".

Feminine characteristics assigned to these gender distinctions are: soft, elegant, charming and seductive, just to name a few.

What do you think of these sensory descriptives?

Do they conjure up such social and sterotypical characteristics of women?
