Zinfandel (Late Harvest)
$24.99
Pagani Ranch -- Sonoma Valley
89% Zin, 7% Alicante Bouschet, 4% Petite Syrah.
A full bodied layered fruit cake in a bottle.
Sweet yet balanced with the correct amount of warmth, reduced fruits, dark cherry, berry fruit, jammy, mince and slight Port characteristics. The red version of Sauterne? Perhaps. It is a gem of a dessert wine and went really well with truffles on a cold March night.

Paul Zinck, Vin d'Alsace
Pinot Gris
$10.00
A clean herbaceous nose, acidic and quite sweet for a Pinot Gris. This had almost a Riesling character to it. Nice and very ripe apple fruit. For the price point, it is excellent. This wine would pair very well with white meat, fish or on its own.

Plan Pegau
Grenache, Syrah, Carignan
$18.00
This wine knows where it wants to go. Definitely a Syrah presence, bright and complete fruit, fresh. It has roots and is grounded. A great value for the money.

Block 13
Cabernet
$18.00
Somewhat typical of a Cali Cabernet, heavy, robust, a bit over-powering at %14.5. Almost zin-like. White pepper, glyceral, chocolate layers, tootsie roll, can stand on its own, not meal worthy.
